The Fn M249 Para is designed for airborne, armored infantry, and close-quarters combat (CQC) operations with a shortened barrel and collapsible buttstock. It maintains all of the M249 SAW’s characteristics and can be field-converted in 30 seconds to return to the standard model configuration. One extra barrel is included with each M249 model.
